When it comes to street art, there’s no doubt about it: Banksy is probably the most famous and mysterious graffiti artist in the world. The 40-year-old Brit manages to keep his true identity a secret. But his artwork not only conquers the streets, but also auction houses around the world. With his extraordinary success, Banksy is considered to be one of today’s most valuable street artists.

The exhibition “The Art of Banksy. Without Limits” arrives in Vienna where more than 100 of the artist’s works – photographs and prints, some of them specially reproduced for the event – will be on display. Included in the exhibition is a documentary giving details of his life and work, and all will be presented in a unique setting. The exhibition offers a very special experience and is a ‘must see’ to celebrate his art and to take it further to as many people as possible.

Departing in 2016 from Istanbul to Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Riyadh, Melbourne, Antwerp, Bucharest, Cluj, Budapest and now Vienna, the exhibition includes famous graffiti works such as “Girl with Balloon”, “Bomb Hugger”, “Police Kids”, “Pulp Fiction” and “Flower Thrower”.

The exhibition can be visited from 23 July to 4 October 2020 at the Sofiensäle in Vienna (Marxergasse 17).

Tickets can be purchased online here: https://www.oeticket.com/eventseries/2790890 and at the Sofiensäle ticket office.

Banksy’s artwork travels all over the world, both online through millions of shares on social media and in reality in the form of exhibitions, most of which are considered unauthorised by the British artist, as his identity is a closely guarded secret. Nevertheless, they are warmly received and hugely successful precisely because they take his work further so that it can be seen by as many people as possible. The exhibition “The Art of Banksy. Without Limits” is one of them.
