Morrissey in Bucharest

“I’ve been following Morrissey closely for a while now, I’m always up to date with his tour itinerary and what’s going on at his concerts even when I’m not there, and if someone had told me earlier this year that we’d see him in Bucharest by the end of this year, I would have thought it was an uninspired joke. I know talks were held for the fall of 2014 and Moz himself said at one point that Romania was on his list, but it still seemed implausible. But “good times for a change”… Some called it the event of the year, others a quasi-event, for various reasons; for me it was again the immense joy of seeing him so soon after the London gigs, and at home to boot.” (RadioIndiegen.co.uk)

“Morrissey, “the most entertaining king of misanthropy”, played in Bucharest. The pop icon Morrissey, the one about whom music critics have said that “after him, there can be no other pop stars”, the writer, the human and animal rights activist – all these personas of a charismatic and flamboyant artist were on stage yesterday for just 2 hours with Romanian fans.” (Infomusic.ro)
